Majuli Island is a cultural paradise located on the Brahmaputra River. It is the world's largest river island, and is home to various tribal communities. The island is known for its unique Neo-Vaishnavite culture, which is a blend of Hinduism and Buddhism. During my visit, I had the opportunity to witness the traditional dance forms and music of the Mishing tribe, and also learn about their handloom weaving techniques. The island also hosts the annual Raas Leela festival, which celebrates the life and teachings of Lord Krishna through music, dance and drama performances. The island's beautiful landscape and serene atmosphere makes it a perfect place for meditation and self-reflection.
