Magdalena de Kino is a small city in the state of Sonora, Mexico that I recently visited. The city's main attraction is the Mission San Francisco Xavier de Bac, a magnificent building that was completed in 1783. The mission was named after Saint Francis Xavier, a Jesuit missionary who visited the region in the 17th century. The building is an architectural marvel, with its stunning facade and intricate details. Inside the mission, I was awe-struck by the beautiful altars, paintings, and sculptures. The mission also has a museum that displays artifacts from the Jesuit and Franciscan missionaries who worked in the region. The city has a rich history, with its roots in the indigenous O'odham people who lived in the area before the arrival of the Spanish. I was able to explore parts of the city on foot and learn about its culture and traditions. Overall, my visit to Magdalena de Kino was a truly enlightening experience.
