The Hidden Gem of Northern Thailand

Mae Hong Son is a remote town in Northern Thailand surrounded by mountains and lush forests. The town has a unique cultural mixture of Thai, Burmese and Shan people. I visited the Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu temple which offers panoramic views of the town and the surrounding hills. The Karen Longneck tribe lives in a nearby village and I had the opportunity to interact with them and learn about their traditions and way of life. The town also has several hot springs that are perfect for relaxation. I found Mae Hong Son to be a peaceful and serene place with friendly people and a rich culture.
