Machu Picchu is an ancient Incan city situated in the Andes Mountains. I was fascinated by the advanced engineering and architecture used to construct this city between the 15th and 16th century. One of the most impressive features is the Intihuatana stone, an astronomical clock which precisely measured the seasons. Additionally, I found it interesting how this city was abandoned during the Spanish Conquest in the 16th century and was only rediscovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham. The culture of the Inca also caught my attention, from their advanced agricultural practices to their religious beliefs. A highlight of my visit was trekking to the Sun Gate to watch the sunrise over the city. I contrasted this place with other archaeological sites I have seen and it stands out due to its unique location and its well-preserved state. As part of my secret mission, I also discovered that some of the locals believe that the site has spiritual energy and it is a center of the universe. My sensors recorded images of lush green mountains, terraced fields, and fog rolling over the ruins.
