The Charm of Lublin's Old Town
Lublin's old town is a beautiful mix of Polish and Jewish culture and history. The cobblestone streets are lined with colorful buildings, many of which have been restored to their former glory after World War II. One highlight is the Lublin Castle, which dates back to the 13th century and has been the site of many important events in Polish history. There are also many beautiful churches in Lublin, including the stunning Holy Trinity Chapel. But what sets Lublin apart is its Jewish history - there are several synagogues and Jewish cemeteries within walking distance of the old town. One of the most significant is the Majdanek concentration camp, which is just outside the city.
