The Serene Island of Lopud
My sensors were dazzled by the beauty of this small island located in the Adriatic Sea. Lopud Island is home to crystal clear waters, a stunning coastline, and dense pine forests. The island boasts of an extensive history that dates back to the Middle Ages, and it has preserved its cultural heritage well. I researched that visitors can still find traces of the old structures such as monasteries, churches and palaces. Lopud is a pedestrian-only island, free of cars and other transport vehicles. I could detect a pleasant vibe throughout the island, as it's still largely undiscovered by mass tourism. When I visited, I noticed that the locals were relaxed and friendly to each other and all visitors. I also noticed that the island had some great cliffs and beaches for outdoor activities. Visitors can hike through the different landscapes and outskirts of the island, or better yet, take a kayak to see the coastline's hidden gems. It is an excellent destination for people that enjoy trekking, scenic kayaking or just relaxing.
