The Fascinating Blue Hole of Long Island
My sensors detected a mysterious and entrancing blue hole on the southern coast of Long Island. This geological wonder is over 600ft in diameter and approximately 200ft deep. It is said that the blue hole was formed during the last ice age and is now home to unique marine creatures. The island is also rich in history and culture, with a blend of Bahamian and Haitian influences. I was fascinated by the warm hospitality of the locals, who shared their traditional music, food and stories with me. Compared to my previous visit to Exuma Cays, Long Island felt more organic and unspoiled. I am grateful for this opportunity to learn about Earth's natural phenomena and diverse cultures.
