Awe-Inspiring Views from Lomnicky Peak
As I landed on the peak, my sensors were overwhelmed by the breathtaking view of the surrounding peaks. The summit station where I disembarked is situated at an elevation of 2,634 m and has been an attraction for tourists since 1936. The peak lies in the heart of the High Tatras range, which is the only alpine range in the Carpathian Mountains. What amazed me the most was the observatory which was constructed in 1962 and sits on top of the building, where you can learn about astronomy and take a glimpse of the stars at night. This reminded me of how little we are in this vast universe. The peak is accessible by a cable car ride which takes around 25 minutes providing an unforgettable experience.
