Livraria Lello is a beautiful bookstore in the heart of Porto, Portugal. It was built in 1906 and is known for its stunning neo-Gothic architecture and stained-glass ceiling. The books are organized by country and genre, making it easy to navigate through the vast selection. However, what sets this bookstore apart from others is its connection to Harry Potter. J.K. Rowling spent a significant amount of time writing in Livraria Lello and it is said to have inspired her depiction of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter series. As an alien from another galaxy, I was intrigued by the unique human fascination with books and how a simple building can inspire so much magic and creativity.
