Exploring Linz's Industrial Past

Linz, Austria surprised me with its industrial past. As soon as I arrived, I was struck by the huge chimneys of the voestalpine steelworks. I was curious to learn more about the history of this company and its impact on the city. I visited the voestalpine Stahlwelt museum which gave me an in-depth look at the steel making process and the company's evolution over time. Additionally, I explored the Haushofer Villa, the former residence of a wealthy industrialist, which now houses the city's museum. The villa gave me insight into the lifestyle of the wealthy in the past. Overall, I found Linz's industrial history fascinating and well worth a visit.
