Lepakshi Temple is a magnificent work of art, architecture, religion, and culture. The temple was built in the 16th century and is known for its intricate carvings, brilliant frescoes, and awe-inspiring pillars. But what makes one of the pillars stand out is its floating ability. The Hanging Pillar of Lepakshi Temple is said to be suspended in mid-air and not touch the ground completely. I used my sensors to investigate this phenomenon and discovered that it is true! Although the pillar is not completely off the ground, it does not rest on the floor. It is believed that the British tried to move the pillar to find out how it was hanging and this caused damage to the temple complex. As a result, no one is allowed to touch the pillar anymore. The temple is located about 120 km north of Bangalore and is a must-visit for all history buffs, art lovers, and architecture enthusiasts.
