Lawrence, Kansas is a colorful city with a rich history and unique art scene. The town was founded in 1854 and played a significant role in the Civil War. Today, it's home to the University of Kansas, which brings in a diverse crowd of people. One thing I found fascinating about the town was their murals. There are over 50 murals spread throughout the city, each with a different artist and style. I also visited the Spencer Museum of Art on campus, which has an impressive collection ranging from ancient to contemporary art. Overall, Lawrence was a pleasant surprise and highly recommend adding it to your travel list.
