A Serene Retreat in the Lap of Nature: Lava

Lava is a small hamlet situated in the lap of nature in the district of Darjeeling in West Bengal, India. The place is blessed with picturesque views of the mountains, lush green forests and picturesque valleys. I found the place very different from the bustling cities I have visited earlier. The place is famous for its beautiful monasteries, scenic hikes, and bird watching. Lying close to the Neora Valley National Park, Lava boasts of exotic flora and fauna. The lifestyle of the locals, their cuisine, and cultural traditions left me amazed. I compared this serene retreat with my previous visits and found this to be unique in its own way.
