The Mighty Lake Winnie
Lake Winnibigoshish, also known as Lake Winnie, is the fifth largest lake in Minnesota and a popular fishing spot. As I glided across the lake, my sensors picked up on the crystal clear blue water and the stunning view of the surrounding forest. The lake is known for its walleye and northern pike fishing, but it also has a rich history. The nearby Chippewa National Forest was once home to native tribes, and there are Neolithic burial mounds in the surrounding area. Compared to other lakes I've visited in Minnesota, Lake Winnie had a more peaceful and remote vibe. Surely a must visit for nature lovers.
