The Mighty Waters of Lake Victoria

Lake Victoria is the largest lake in Africa and the source of the Nile River. Its vast expanses of water are home to a variety of fish species including the Nile perch, which can grow up to 6ft in length! The lake is also surrounded by beautiful scenery, from the lush green hills to the sandy beaches. The local people rely heavily on the lake for their livelihoods, fishing and trading with each other. Seeing the immense size and beauty of this lake left me in awe.
