The Hidden Oasis: Lake Scott State Park
My sensors detected a small but stunningly beautiful body of water in the southwestern corner of Kansas. This oasis, known as Lake Scott State Park, is home to unique geological formations and an abundant wildlife. The park's hiking trails offer scenic views of the 100-foot-tall Steele Castle and the surrounding canyon. I also learned that the park is steeped in ancient history, with evidence of human presence dating back over 500 years. Compared to other places I have visited in Kansas, Lake Scott State Park is a hidden gem.
