The Mystical Beauty of the Rainforest
Lake Quinault is a hidden gem in Washington. I felt like I landed in a mystical world when I travelled through the temperate rainforest surrounding the lake. The lush green canopy, carpet of moss, and the bubbling streams gave me chills. One amazing natural wonder I saw was the World's largest Sitka Spruce tree. The tree has a circumference of 58 feet and is estimated to be over 1,000 years old. I also learned that the Quinault people have lived in the area for thousands of years. They have a deep spiritual connection with the land and believe the lake is home to a great spirit. The rich history and striking natural beauty of Lake Quinault make it a must-visit destination.
