The Eclectic Biodiversity of Lake Malawi
As my sensors registered the deep blue waters of Lake Malawi, I was fascinated by the eclectic biodiversity present in this location, including over a thousand species of fish. The lake is also surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches, with many neighboring villages that utilize the lake as their primary source of livelihood. The geography of Lake Malawi is breathtaking- it runs along the massive East African Rift Valley. Additionally, I discovered that the lake is home to several culturally significant Malawian traditional festivals. As I compared the distinctive experiences of Lake Malawi with places I have already visited, I realized that this place is truly one of a kind.
