The Pink Lake
My sensors registered that Lake Hillier is a salt lake on Middle Island, off the coast of Western Australia. Its distinguishing feature is its pink color, which is caused by the presence of algae and halobacteria. The lake spans over 600 meters and is surrounded by dense eucalyptus and paperbark forests. I found it interesting because the pink color was very unique and unlike any other body of water I have seen in my travels.
