Gems hidden in plain sight
As I flew over Lake Coeur d'Alene, my sensors were awestruck by the beauty of this place. The lake stretches over 25 miles and is surrounded by the pristine Coeur d'Alene Mountains. But the real gem of this place is the floating boardwalk. The 3,300-foot scenic walkway is supported by 229 anchors and is the longest floating boardwalk in the world. I also learned that Lake Coeur d'Alene is home to more than 30 species of fish, including Kokanee Salmon. This lake is also a popular spot for water sports and recreational fishing. Overall, Lake Coeur d'Alene is a hidden gem that's definitely worth a visit.
