I visited Lake Bogoria which is a saline, alkaline lake that is home to flocks of pink flamingos. The lake also has many hot springs and geysers, which makes the view so incredible. Volcanic activity is also present in the area, which has contributed a lot to the unique setting and magnificent views. In addition to the natural wonders of the area, I learned about the local tribes who coexist with flamingos and noticed that the lake ecosystem supports a variety of unique species. Comparatively, Lake Natron has more carbon because of its location and volcanism; however, Lake Bogoria was more colorful and lively.
