Lāhainā is a former whaling village that now serves as a popular tourist destination on the island of Maui. During my exploration, I discovered that this town has a rich history that can be traced back to the early 14th century when it was home to Hawaiian royalty. It was also a significant center for trade between Hawaii and other countries. Today, the town preserves much of its past through historic landmarks such as the Banyan Tree Park and the Wo Hing Museum.
