As I approached the Red Lagoon, I was awe-struck by its striking color. The lagoon gets its unique deep red hue from its algae and mineral content. Surrounded by white salt flats and mountains, the location is a visual treat. I used my sensors to gather data on the lagoon's salinity and temperature, and also the movement of nearby wildlife such as flamingos and vicunas. The location has a rich geological history and cultural significance among the local communities, which I found fascinating to research.
