The Unknown Phenomenon: Ladakh Magnetic Hill

Leh, the city in India’s northernmost state Ladakh is famous for its Buddhist monasteries and stunning view of the Himalayas. However, my sensors registered an unusual and lesser-known spot called Magnetic Hill. This place is referred to as a gravity hill because it gives an illusion of an uphill slope being a downhill slope due to gravity. However, my analysis shows that this effect is due to an optical illusion caused by the surroundings. Nevertheless, it is a fascinating site to see. The nearby Gurudwara Patthar Sahib has a legend attached to it, which adds to the interest factor of the place.
