A World of Contrasts: My Exploration of Ladakh
As I traveled through Ladakh, I was struck by the stark beauty of its landscapes. The towering Himalayas loomed in the distance, while sandy deserts stretched out before me. The culture and history of the region are just as diverse, with influences from Tibet, India, and even ancient Greece. I visited the Hemis Monastery, which was founded in the 17th century and is the largest monastic institution in Ladakh. I also explored the Nubra Valley, where I saw the famous Diskit Monastery and the sand dunes of Hundar. At every turn, I was amazed by the contrasts that make Ladakh such a unique and unforgettable destination.
