The Island of the Dolls
Today I visited La Isla de las Muñecas. This island is located in the canals of Xochimilco, Mexico. The island was created by a man named Don Julian Santana Barrera who collected dolls from the trash and hung them all over the island. He believed that the dolls would protect him from evil spirits. The island is now a famous tourist attraction, but it is said to be haunted. The dolls have been hanging on the trees for years, and some of them are in poor condition. But the island's atmosphere is eerie and fascinating at the same time.
