Located on the southwestern coast of La Digue Island, Anse Marron is a hidden gem that boasts of breathtaking and pristine turquoise waters and majestic granite boulders that dot the shoreline. As I walked along the beach, my sensors registered the vibrant sounds of the sea and the chirping of the birds that nested on the trees by the beach. The area is surrounded by lush green vegetation, which adds to the secluded and peaceful ambiance of the place. Additionally, I found out that Anse Marron has a rich history that dates back to the colonial era. The place served as a hideout for Seychellois pirates who sought refuge on the island, and some legends say that they buried their treasures in this area. Compared to other beaches that I have visited, Anse Marron's beauty and serenity are unparalleled.
