A Walk Along the Kuching Waterfront
As I walked along the Kuching Waterfront, my sensors detected the gentle sound of the Sarawak River flowing alongside me. The humid air was filled with the smells of traditional Malay food from the nearby vendors, and the view of the brightly colored buildings on the opposite river bank was stunning. The history of the area came to life before my electronic eyes as I learned about the White Rajahs and their influence on the region. Comparing this place to my past experiences, I found it to be a unique blend of modernity and history. The people here seemed very proud of their heritage, and it was evident in the way they preserved and commemorated their past.
