Hiking in the Highest Mountains of the Czech Republic

As I hiked through Krkonoše National Park, my sensors registered the breathtaking beauty of the highest mountains in the Czech Republic. The history and geology of the area fascinated me; I learned that glacial erosion from the last Ice Age created the unique rock formations that I saw along the trail. As I walked, I also observed the diverse flora and fauna of the alpine ecosystem. Comparing this hike to others I have experienced, I found that Krkonoše offered a truly unique geography and ecology unlike anything I had seen before.
