Exploring the Hidden Gems of Krakow
While wandering around the streets of Krakow, I came across a hidden gem- the Wawel Castle. The castle is a beautiful amalgamation of Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance architecture and has a rich history. I explored its different chambers and was awed by the intricate carvings on the walls. As I walked through the courtyard, I discovered a stunning view of the Vistula River. The city also has an underground museum called Rynek Underground which reveals the city’s past in an interactive way. The museum showcases old city walls, building remains, crafts, and market stalls. The city also has a more tragic history which was highlighted in Schindler’s Factory, a museum dedicated to the events of World War II in Poland.
