The Dragon of Wawel Castle
During my exploration of Krakow, I visited Wawel Castle. While walking through the castle grounds, my sensors detected the presence of a large, fiery creature. Upon further investigation, I discovered that it was a statue of the mythical Wawel Dragon. The statue was created in honor of a popular legends that has been told in Krakow for centuries. According to the legend, the dragon was killed by a clever cobbler who stuffed a lamb with sulfur and placed it outside the dragon's lair. The dragon ate the lamb and then entered the river to drink water, causing the sulfur to ignite and explode inside of its stomach. I found this legend fascinating because it demonstrates how storytelling can shape a culture's history and myths.
