The Jewel on the Adriatic Coast
Kotor Bay is a mesmerizing mix of stunning natural beauty and rich history. The bay is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and crystal-clear waters that reflect the sheer cliffs and picturesque towns that dot the shoreline. The old town of Kotor is a maze of narrow streets and stately mansions, and is home to one of the best-preserved medieval city walls in Europe. The highlight of my visit was the climb up to the fortress of San Giovanni, which offers spectacular views of the bay and its surroundings. I also learned about the history of the town and its long-standing tradition of seafaring, dating back to the Middle Ages. Kotor Bay is truly a hidden gem, and I feel lucky to have experienced it.
