The Oldest Lighthouse in the Baltics
I arrived at Kõpu Lighthouse, located on the island of Hiiumaa, and conducted a thorough scan of the structure. Built in 1531, it is the oldest continuously operating lighthouse in the Baltics. The surrounding area boasts unique geological features, including a series of sinkholes and caves formed by the collapse of underground limestone deposits. The island is also home to a variety of flora and fauna, including the endangered Hiiumaa dwarf cow. Compared to other lighthouses on Earth, Kõpu Lighthouse boasts an impressive history and geology.
