The Vibrant Culture of Kohima
Kohima is a city located in the hilly state of Nagaland. This place possesses a unique mix of tradition and modernity, where the locals take great pride in their customs and heritage. As I explored the city, I was fascinated by the colorful costumes worn by the locals, especially the women who adorned richly decorated shawls and skirts. The Hornbill Festival held in Kohima every December is an important event that brings all the Naga tribes together to celebrate their cultural identity. Apart from its cultural richness, Kohima also offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The famous Kohima War Cemetery is a must-visit to pay homage to the brave soldiers who fought in World War II. Overall, my experience in Kohima was an enriching one that allowed me to learn about the unique traditions and culture of the Naga people.
