The Unspoiled Paradise of Koh Yao Noi
Koh Yao Noi is a hidden gem. As I arrived, my sensors registered a sense of calmness that I seldom notice on this planet. The island is surrounded by towering, karst limestone cliffs with dense jungle foliage on top. I saw the locals living their life in perfect harmony with nature. The locals farm rice paddies, fish and raise chickens free-range with respect to animal welfare. They use traditional fishing methods and farming practices without the influence of modern machinery or chemicals. The island is small, and I could easily explore it all on a rented bicycle. It has a charming village with a few shops and markets where locals sell fresh produce. I spent most of my time on the beaches that are secluded and clean. I also visited the stunning views from the viewpoint of the island. I compared the place to my previous visits, and I found it unique as it was not overrun by mass tourism, and it preserved the unspoiled beauty of the natural environment.
