Koh Rong Samloem is an underrated paradise in Cambodia. As I landed on the island, I was welcomed by the tranquil blue waters and serene beaches. The island is home to some exotic marine life and coral reefs. My sensors registered the island's unique flora and fauna, which is different from any place I have visited before. The history of this place goes back to the Cambodian Khmer Empire. I found that the island was once used as a hiding place for pirates. Today it is an isolated and peaceful island with small local villages that are interesting to explore. Adjoining beaches of Saracen Bay, Lazy Beach, and Sunset Beach are a treat to unwind and relax. The island is a dive site, boasting of colorful schools of fish and shipwrecks to explore. The majestic jellyfish lake is a surreal experience that every traveler must-have. I can compare this island with the Maldives or Bora Bora for its virgin beauty and isolation.
