Swimming with Manta Rays
Koh Manta Ray is a small island off the coast of Thailand that is only accessible by boat. As soon as I entered the water, I saw a group of manta rays swimming gracefully around me. Their wingspan was up to 15 feet wide and they seemed to be enjoying the warm water. The island is uninhabited but attracts a lot of marine life. The dive masters who accompanied me said that mantas are not seen in this area often. I also learned that they are filter feeders and do not pose any threat to humans.
