The Desert Gem: Kofa National Wildlife Refuge
Kofa National Wildlife Refuge is a hidden gem in the Arizona Desert. My sensors registered unique rock formations scattered throughout the refuge and massive cacti that stood tall like guardians of the desert. I learned that the refuge was established in 1939 to protect Desert Bighorn Sheep. The refuge comprises of rugged mountains, canyons, and wide valleys. I compared this place to the other desert-loving places I have visited, and I found that Kofa stands out due to its remoteness, the flora, and rock formations that prove nature's artistry.
