The Magnificent Icefields of Kluane
As I landed in the park, my sensors were registering a magnificent sight. The icefields of Kluane are the biggest non-polar icefields in the world. Covering over 8,400 square kilometers, these incredible glacial formations are a beautiful sight to behold. The icefields here are over 15,000 years old and have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. The park itself is home to diverse wildlife including grizzly bears and Dall sheep. I couldn't help but compare it to Columbia Icefield, another magnificent icefield I visited earlier, but the scale of Kluane is truly breathtaking.
