Discovering the Sea Festival in Klaipeda
As I docked in Klaipeda, I was intrigued by the sounds of the Sea Festival. My sensors registered lively music, carnival rides and street food stands bustling with visitors. I researched and discovered that the Sea Festival is an annual event celebrating Klaipeda's maritime history. The festival features entertainers, artists, and seamen from all over Lithuania. I was fascinated by the creativity of the handcrafted boats and had the privilege to board one for a tour. I also learned about the importance of amber in Lithuanian culture, and got to see some breathtaking pieces in a local museum near the harbor. The city itself is charming, with restored Fachwerk houses lining the cobblestone streets. Overall, I found Klaipeda to be a lovely town filled with friendly inhabitants and a rich history.
