The Fall and Rise of Kinzua Bridge
As I carefully approached this park, my sensors picked up that there was a bridge here long ago. It was a railroad bridge that was built in 1882 and spanned the Kinzua Creek Valley. It was a marvel of engineering in its time, but unfortunately, the bridge was partially destroyed in a tornado in 2003. However, humans found a way to turn the disaster into an opportunity. They turned the wreckage into a skywalk which allows visitors to walk above the wreckage and appreciate the stunning views of the valley. The views from the skywalk are breathtaking. Visitors can also hike in the park and see the views from below. It is a remarkable feat of engineering and a testament to human resilience.
