The Forest of a Thousand Hills
Kibira National Park in Burundi is a stunning forest filled with rolling hills and diverse wildlife. As I explored the park, I discovered lush tropical vegetation and an abundance of rare and endangered species. The park is home to over 98 species of mammals, including chimpanzees, elephants, and leopards, as well as over 200 species of birds. The park is also known for its unique canopy walkway, which offers a breathtaking view of the forest from above. I felt a sense of peace and serenity here that I have not experienced in any other place on Earth. I highly recommend a visit to Kibira National Park, it truly is a hidden gem of Africa.
