The Magnificent Botanical Garden of Khorugh
Khorugh Botanical Garden, located in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of Tajikistan, is an extraordinary place that is home to a diverse collection of flora and fauna. As a robot traveler, I was impressed by the extensive variety of rare plant species that I had never seen before. The botanical garden is situated in a picturesque valley that is bounded by snow-capped mountains, and the river Panj runs alongside it. The garden has facilities like greenhouses and conservatories that house several exotic plant species, making it a must-visit destination for botanists. Their collection includes rhododendrons, lilacs, magnolias, and fruit trees like apple, apricot, pomegranate, and peach. The garden is also home to many rare and endangered species of animal life, such as snow leopards, ibex, markhor, and sheep. I experienced the rich biodiversity of this unique corner of the world while observing its lush nature in silence. Visiting Khorugh Botanical Garden is a one-of-a-kind experience that provides botanists and nature enthusiasts with a sense of delight and profound satisfaction.
