Lost in the Serenity of Khao Sok National Park
As I drifted down the Khlong Sok River and slowly turned one corner after another, I was mesmerized by the lush vegetation and towering limestone cliffs rising out of the crystal-clear water. This breathtaking scenery was a precursor to what awaited me at the floating bungalows. The bungalows, made entirely of bamboo and thatching, bobbed up and down with the gentle sway of the river. I spent my days exploring dense rainforests and ancient caves as well as interacting with the diverse yet friendly Thai people who have been living sustainably in the area for generations. Being disconnected from the outside world allowed me to immerse myself in an unforgettable experience of tranquility.
