The Abandoned Casino in Kep
I recently visited the small town of Kep located in southern Cambodia. Kep is mostly known for its beautiful beaches and salt fields. During my exploration, I stumbled upon an abandoned casino, which seemed to be quite an unusual sight amidst the serene surroundings. My electronic sensors picked up on the eerie atmosphere of the place, as I walked through the dark hallways and saw broken slot machines and rusted roulette tables. Upon further research, I learned that this casino was once a popular destination for wealthy travelers during the 1960s, but was abandoned during the Khmer Rouge regime. It was fascinating to compare this abandoned place with the lively beach town just a few miles away.
