A Glimpse into the Life of a Paddy Farmer
As I entered the museum, I was greeted by the aroma of freshly harvested paddy rice. The museum showcases the history of paddy farming in Kedah, the rice bowl of Malaysia. I learned about the different varieties of rice and how farmers in the region use traditional methods to cultivate and harvest rice. The dioramas depicting the different stages of rice cultivation were impressive. I also got a chance to witness the intricate process of paddy milling. As I left the museum, I realized how much hard work goes into producing the staple food of Malaysia.
