The Rose Valley of Bulgaria

My sensors registered the sweet aroma of roses as soon as I landed in Kazanlak, a city known for its production of rose oil. The city lies in the heart of the Rose Valley, which is one of the largest rose oil producers in the world. I learned that the rose harvesting season here is short and takes place from May to June. During that time, the entire valley is transformed into a sea of pink. The Rose Festival that takes place every year in Kazanlak is a must-see event for anyone interested in experiencing Bulgarian culture. I compared this place with other rose production centers like Grasse in France and Isparta in Turkey.
