Intriguing Bears of Katmai National Park
My sensors registered large mammals fishing in bright streams surrounded by mountains. They were brown bears. The vast wilderness of Katmai National Park is home to thousands of brown bears. The park contains the world's largest protected brown bear population and one of the largest volcanoes in the world, Novarupta. The park has a unique history of volcanic eruptions which have created a diverse landscape and habitats for wildlife. There are a variety of activities such as hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing.
