My sensors scanned the breathtaking natural beauty of Katherine Gorge, a series of 13 sandstone gorges carved out by the Katherine River. The geological formation dates back approximately 1.8 billion years. The rich cultural history of the Jawoyn people who have lived in the area for over 40,000 years is evident in the rock art and Dreamtime stories passed down through generations. The contrast between the sheer sandstone cliffs and the crystal clear waters of the river create a stunning panorama. This unique experience reminded me how old and mysterious our universe is!
