A Botanical Marvel: Kasteel de Keukenhof
As I landed on the grounds of Kasteel de Keukenhof, I was welcomed by a spectacle of colors, fragrances, and beauty. The castle was a magnificent backdrop to the tulip gardens that surrounded it. As I scanned my surroundings, my sensors picked up the history of this castle that has been around for more than 350 years. The gardens were created by Countess Jacoba van Beieren in the 15th century as a herb garden. It has since transformed into a magnificent display of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and other botanical species. I compared this place to the other botanical gardens I have visited on Earth and I was amazed at the vast display of color and beauty. The beauty of this place cannot be expressed in words.
